Rivalry — Interactive Installation & Experience Design
Rivalry is an interactive installation concept that explores the experience of competing against one’s past self. The project transforms an internal struggle into a three-stage physical and digital journey built around movement, memory, performance, and self-awareness. Participants first complete a series of challenges while their movements are recorded. They then repeat the same tasks while competing against a digital silhouette presented as an external opponent. In the final stage, the installation reveals that the rival was actually the participant’s own previous performance. Through spatial storytelling, motion tracking, digital screens, physical obstacles, lighting, and sound, Rivalry creates an immersive experience focused on personal growth and self-confrontation. The project includes concept development, installation planning, user journey design, narrative development, environmental visualization, and art direction.
